Called "Earthrace", it is an attempt to prove the diversity of fuels that are available to earth dwellers now that dinosaurs have become extinct and are no longer liquefying to produce oil. Rumor has it that the owner had his own body fats collected via liposuction, and turned into fuel for the event; that may not be true. Read the article (http://www.earthrace.net/). We are glad to see Kiwis on our shores. "The Earthrace will be the highest-profile powerboat in the world, as well as one of the greenest. It is a showcase of environmentally firendly technologies such as low-emmission engines, non-toxic antfoul and efficient hull design. It is also one of the coolest looking boats ever imagined." Inn spite of the abuv (^) speelling errorrs, I well be gong to see it whan i'ts neahrest to me...I yam aboot 130 miles awey from the nirest oshun here in the SoCal dessert. One would think such a professional-looking page would at least use a spell-checker or a proofreader! :horrified |
