485382 2006-09-18 02:06:00 ok i got a dvd recorder and i connect it to my tv using the 3 AV outs from the dvd recoder and plug them into the tv's A/V inputs.
Now my sky digital decoder used to use the tv's A/V inputs but now their taken up by the dvd recoder. The tv currently has 3 A/V Outputs(not inputs) and the dvd recorder doesn't have any A/V inputs. How do i connect the sky digital decoder to my tv now?

Firstly how old is your dvd recorder surely it must have one input on the back and or front of it, if it does then plug your sky decoder into that input, but remember if you do that you will only be able to watch sky when your dvd recorder is switched on.

485384 2006-09-18 02:20:00 I remember I had Sky

I plug the Sky directly into the TV.

The output from the tv goes to my vCR or your DVD recorder

485385 2006-09-18 02:33:00 But the Dvd recorder must have input. How can it input without Input? Ninjabear (2948)
485386 2006-09-18 02:33:00 Maybe the Dvd recorder can not record but playback only? Ninjabear (2948)
485387 2006-09-18 04:54:00 You could always get an A/V switch box.

What it does is takes 2 or more inputs and puts them to one output, you select the input via a switch (thus called an A/V switch box )

But this (www.dse.co.nz) should do the job for you

And were does the output of the DVD recorder go...?
basically if you only have 1 AV input on your TV and no inputs on your DVD
recorder then you need a switch box from DSE or Jaycar.

True Dse has something call a video selector around $30

I can't remember exactly but I remembered that the Sky goes directly to the tv.Output of the Tv goes the VCR. and I think Sky has another output that goes to the VCR.

I remembered I didn't need a switch box.It's been 3 years now.I can't really remember
