485010 2006-09-15 23:34:00 Now sorry if this is basic! Is it possible to download videos from the likes of YouTube onto your computer and store them in say AVI, WAV or MPEG format?
Many thanks

You need an FLV player (link on the site) but you can convert to MPG or AVI with the right program.

485017 2006-09-18 21:57:00 Thank you all for your help. As I see it the easiest way is this:
Paste the URL of the video you want to download here - javimoya.com
-add the extension “flv” and use MediaCoder - mediacoder.sourceforge.net
-to convert to an AVI file. A word of advice. Do not change the default media or audio settings as I first did – got into all sorts of strife! Uninstalled and installed again and no problem.
Best of luck.
