486612 2006-09-24 13:12:00 I don't think i can get it in my building - can't really afford it though anyway.

My parents have it though. I can spend hour after hour watching discovery channel when I'm meant to be studying >_<

486613 2006-09-24 22:30:00 What kind of phone offers that, Winston?

My apologies Laura and Drcspy. Telecom TVline package but I've just discovered that they have discontinued it for new customers. Pity.

Telstra do this package too but only in the areas like Christchurch where cable is laid. It is possible another phone provider has this.

486614 2006-09-25 01:33:00 Well, the "financial press" doesn't relate to what I see among my friends & family.
46% is nearly 1 in 2 households. I'd want to know more about that survey...how large was it & where was it done?

I'd guess about 1 in 3, but it's merely a guess in a non-representative small sample of people I know..
And no, I don't have Sky. I've nothing against it except the price..

Isn't ironic that is the same percentage of people who will suffer mental health problems in their lifetime? (source NZ Herald monday 25th September)

486616 2006-10-03 10:34:00 We take Sky (all the usual, movies, sport, discovery, etc) amongst others via cable. No reception problems (usually) for any of the channels. If you have cable in your area, I recommend it bundle with bradband and ph. Murray P (44)
486617 2006-10-04 06:07:00 Used to have Sky......but recently moved......and no Sky now

Currently looking for a good Support Group/Therapist to help get me through this period of pain and transition....'specially when The Mighty Lions devour their Canterbury Lamb on Friday nite.....

486619 2006-10-04 08:43:00 We do not get around to watching all of the things we would like to see on the free-to-air channels let alone having more choice ! On the other hand we have friends with Sky who still say that there is nothing they can find to watch despite having 30-40 channels.
