| 486447 | 2006-11-20 10:56:00 | Soon on the scene: 1) Declaration of war against false religion, (the Great Harlot depicted in Revelation), by the governments of the world. They have had religionists telling them how to run their governments and they have had their fill of meddling by the priests, popes, clerics and religionists. 2) Recognition that religion has been the cause of all the killings, murders by lawful decree and starvation and strife in the world since time of recorded history (this is your point Metla..and it is the right one), the population will cry that they weren't a part of this blasphemy against the true god, and will cower, asking the mountains to fall over on them. 3) The kingdom of Christ will come into full power as the rider on the white horse (Christ) is now a full-grown warrior king and will destroy all those who took other roads and lifestyles and religious beliefs (the ACTUAL mark of the beast). He is not the babe in a manger that the world falsely deifies and pays no attention to. 4) There are going to be great signs in the heavens...so great that there can be no mistake or question as to who is causing them and why. Yeah, yeah. I remember giving public talks 20 years ago saying the same stuff was "imminent". But it ain't happened yet. Oh and no. 4 has changed, back then the "signs in the heavens" were man-made, warplanes, bombs and stuff. The Watchtower Society changes it's mind quite a bit, especially when it's prophesies don't happen. |

| 486450 | 2006-11-20 20:10:00 | How about if I told you that Noah's great flood was actually the flooding of lands and lake to become the Black Sea in prehistoric times? Or do you believe the entire earth was covered in water? Yeah where did all the water suddenly come from because even if all the ice melted it still wouldn't cover Everest and where did it suddenly disappear to. |

Or do you believe the entire earth was covered in water? Yeah where did all the water suddenly come from because even if all the ice melted it still wouldn't cover Everest and where did it suddenly disappear to. Why didn't God create another flood during the second world war to rid the earth of all the depraved people then. My father never went to church except for weddings, funerals and christenings but when the JW's turned up one day spouting a quote from the bible my father instantly gave another quote from the bible which contradicted theirs. They had to flip through the bible to find his quote. Anyway this happened three times before they finally took off with their tail between their legs. It turned out that during his school years a lot of his education was done through the bible. It was a highly amusing incident. The SWW also cured my mother of religion. |

BTW, for a standard pin, and a standard angel, the answer is 7. Type of dance is as yet unknown. |

| 486456 | 2006-11-20 20:48:00 | Can you clarify what exactly you mean by "Hypothesising creation by a deity only removes this a further level without actually answering the question of how everything got started"? I think its straight forward that a creator making everything answers that question. Unless you are implying that the creator must exist in this space-time universe which is not what I'm saying. No it doesn't as how did the creator get created and this is what TGoddard means by "a deity only removes this a further level without actually answering the question of how everything got started" |
