711416 2008-10-11 07:32:00 64-Bit Windows XP Pro is a version of XP that recognises above 3.5GB of RAM.

Normal XP is 32-bit. You most likely have XP 32-bit.

Does your System Properties window look like THIS (www.pcstats.com) or THIS (]http://www.windows-help-central.com/image-files/system-properties-logo.jpg)?

First is 64-bit, second is normal (32bit)

711417 2008-10-11 08:12:00 I would be careful, with some of these installs that change XP's look

They can stuff up system files, and can totally screw things up

If you want Vista, go and buy it
