711390 2008-10-11 02:37:00 Hi Everyone,

I need to ask you some questions.

What do you think is the best...

1. Antivirus program?
2. Internet Browser?
3. Office suite? (e.g. MS Office, Open Office, Star Office etc.)
4. Media Player?
5. Email program?
6. Instant Messaging program?

Then I'll only install that program and remove all others in that category.

Thanks

1. AVG8-The stupid sounds and weird UI put me off Avast
2. I'd say FF3-for the speed and add-ons
3. I know openoffice is really good and all but slow start-up times and STILL no support for docx files has made M$'s office 07 a winner.
4. VLC-I find its more stable than other media players.
5. I originally used Outlook for my gmail account but I just couldn't get it to allow me to send mail and url links in emails would not open so I tried thunderbird. Simple minimalistic interface.
6. WLM-I love pidgin for its stability and mininalistic interface but I choose WLM cause of its emoticons and I find its UI easy to use

V3 may support it, according to some sites. It'll natively support it (opening and saving docx files)

Which maybe out, or is due to be released this month

Will have to wait till it appears on the site. Its a bit slow.

As it looks like you can download it on other sites

The closest server I could find was an Aussie one. No NZ ones. As usual:annoyed:
*sigh* why do the Australians have everything we don't:annoyed:
