| 711160 | 2008-10-09 23:26:00 | I have recived an email with a an attachment. The attachment is a personal distribution list (the attachment icon is a little card with 2 little heads) And the DL has several contacts within it. This DL is not a Global Exchange level DL but from someones personal Contacts What is the easiest way of importing the distribution list into my own "contacts" in Outlook and so it saves as a DL under my contacts I can open individual contacts within the DL and add it one by one to my contacts but even then i will have to then create a DL in my Outlook contacts and then add those individual contacts into it I am running Outlook 2003 Thanks |

| 711163 | 2008-10-09 23:31:00 | Think you have to use the import function.....File>import>*.vcf. Not sure if you can import someones else's DL though, contacts yes! | SolMiester (139) | ||
| 711164 | 2008-10-09 23:40:00 | Thanks Solmiester/Speedy Had typo in prev post...I dragged attachment (DL) and dropped into contacts pane and it was fine. Speedy - i open the DL attachment and when i go to save it, the file types are .msg, .oft or as rich text. So i couldnt open it directly from Contacts after saving it I would have thought there would be easier way of doin this then importing...but oh well its working easy enuff via drag n drop so all good |
