| 712041 | 2008-10-13 23:58:00 | Hi Guys I have quite a few mdb files on my PC. I want to make a list of them in Word or Excel. If I perform a Search in XP for say *.mdb I get a list of the files on screen. Can anyone suggest a way of importing this list into Word or Excel ? I have a great little utility program called Listmaker which would do the job if they were actual files all in one folder |

| 712042 | 2008-10-14 00:45:00 | 1) Start the command prompt: Start --> Run --> cmd 2) Change to the root directory: cd \ 3) Enter the following command: dir /s /b *.mdb > mdbfiles.csv 4) It will take several minutes to complete, and once complete there will be a file called "mdbfiles.csv" in your root folder, open this with excel 5) If you have more than one drive, repeat for each drive |
