712041 2008-10-13 23:58:00 Hi Guys

I have quite a few mdb files on my PC.

I want to make a list of them in Word or Excel.

If I perform a Search in XP for say *.mdb I get a list of the files on screen.

Can anyone suggest a way of importing this list into Word or Excel ?

I have a great little utility program called Listmaker which would do the job if they were actual files all in one folder

712042 2008-10-14 00:45:00 1) Start the command prompt:
Start --> Run --> cmd

2) Change to the root directory:
cd \

3) Enter the following command:

dir /s /b *.mdb > mdbfiles.csv

4) It will take several minutes to complete, and once complete there will be a file called "mdbfiles.csv" in your root folder, open this with excel

5) If you have more than one drive, repeat for each drive
