| 711599 | 2008-10-11 22:26:00 | My partner has a Dell laptop and lately this is the start sequence. Starts pretty quick (1min or less) Taskbar (hidden) appears and all looks GO then the taskbar goes to a wide black strip and it takes about 1.5 mins before all is up and go. I am working thru possibles but maybe ther is a quick fix ? Also on the same box do the number of desktop shortcuts slow startup . |

I am working thru possibles but maybe ther is a quick fix ? Also on the same box do the number of desktop shortcuts slow startup . Declutter your startup, too much stuff loading and running in the background. RUN from Start, type msconfig, click Startup TAB, untick the unneeded stuff. Which is most of it, you only need anti-malware and firewall really. |
