| 487477 | 2006-09-26 07:28:00 | Those who do not have any forms of BB at home, does this Telecom decision provide you the incentive to now purchase BB? Edit. Sorry I forgot to add an extra option. But I cannot do it now. That line was supposed to be "I have BB now and this does not apply to me". If you want you can pop this in with your post ;-) |

| 487480 | 2006-09-26 07:44:00 | As for the full speed thing, my speed is rubbish now and more likely to get worse not better. As for caps, I've never used more than 8Gb in a month so I don't care. Did ask a friend as his biggest moan was the caps, not speed and he still says no, because of the price. |

| 487481 | 2006-09-26 08:23:00 | I think the new plans are great. Speeds not overly important to me, most servers barely seem to reach the 2.5mb speed my line can handle. No caps is great, along with the prioritising "fair use" policy, aslong as it's used as detailed and not to just limit the cost xtra has to put into transfering my data. As for the cost. Meh. It's not that terrible. Compare www.bt.com %3dbroadband_from_bt&obsType=LINK&obsOID=89065&targetSection=prod_page_2000_E&presalesProduct=2000_E which works out to be about $50 NZD, and theyre pratically the same plans without all the "free" junk like video calls. My only complaint is that we're still stuck with the same old upload speeds. |

At the moment, i'm seriously considering upgrading from a 40GB/month cap to the 80GB/month plan. And hey, 10Mb/sec down & 2Mb/sec up is pretty fine for us! Mind you, telecom can do what it likes, we are on Telstra-cable. |
