| 713067 | 2008-10-18 08:20:00 | I have a new Seagate 500gig HDD installed on my PC. What I want to do is to clone the old 80 gig (also Seagate) HDD to a partition on the new HDD, I have Seagates own software DiskWizard which does a great job of partitioning the new HDD but I then I can't clone to it without wipeing the partitions. Or I can have a nicely cloned 500 gig drive which I can't partition. Is there a work around this, Im sure I have used old Seagate DiskWizard software without this short coming. Or have I missed something using this. Work around and or any new method of achieving what I want will be appreciated. Cheers John. |

| 713072 | 2008-10-18 20:09:00 | Sorry I have neglected to mention I run Windows XP. The partitioning is done from a Live CD, not from within Windows, so it does not matter what operating system you use. |
