| 489330 | 2006-10-05 08:50:00 | Do we need to get a PM about each one?, Not really impressed at having my inbox filled with moderator spam.And its all quite meaningless untill you hit the point of being banned....and even then it still becomes meaningless....as your banned. Why bother?, seems like a system was implemented to address an issue that is less work then the system to control it. Weird. Though it would be top work if the users warning level was displayed in their profile when they made a post, Perhaps an avater to display different levels of wickedness.........:D:D:D Muhahahahahaha |

| 489334 | 2006-10-05 09:43:00 | Sigh . . . you've only had two Metla, that can hardly fill your inbox :rolleyes: For all those confused what this Infraction business is about, it came with the vBulletin upgrade . It gives the Mods the ability to give infractions for predefined naughty behaviour with a set point value - like demerit points on your drivers license . If you acquire more than 10 points within a 5 day period the account automatically gets banned (for a undefined period of time) . It works well for the Mods as we can all see who has been given an infraction, what for and how many points have accrued . It stops us giving out constant warnings which just get ignored by some people . This time if the behaviour continues there is a set outcome . The points expire 5 days after being given . Each infraction includes a PM to the user notifying them of that . And no Metla, there is a fat chance of getting a personal avatar that way . |

LOL man did i miss some interesting posts and threads then...........Infraction.sounds like a speeding ticket..how fast can one mouth off? :p so one demerit for each bad word? or offensive remark about another member? what happens if you slang a moderator? lol I in the past have said things unfortunate, but have learnt that Jen's best advice, given to me more than once i think........is get up and walk away from the pc, is the best idea to all those who are getting a little heated............ and instead of a big post in there sig, why dont ya just have an obvious little highly coloured number? LOL this could be fun to watch........ choccy fish awarded to the mod who gets most banned members? or choccy fish awarded to first banned person? this is of course a joke and not to be seriuosly adhered to........... and no need for an infraction on my part:p Let the games begin........:D this is not aimed at anyone and is not to be taken seriously.heaven forbid i made people laugh... beetle |
