713702 2008-10-21 20:06:00 Hi all,

Just wondering if I could please get some recommendations for a wireless all-in-one ADSL router. Only use laptops at home. Needs to be nice and stable and work well with my MacBook Pro. ISP is Maxnet.

Budget around $200 to $250.

Thanks!

713703 2008-10-21 20:15:00 I have been using a Belkin-PRE N wireless network for 2yrs now. On the network i have two desktops and a laptops that are used @ home. The only thing they are all on a windows platfrom and i have not had an issue that the Belkin help desk was not able to support 24hrs. The PRE N has much wider coverage then the standard (802.11a/g) networks. However now there is a N1 network that is available. alopes (5331)
713704 2008-10-21 20:18:00 Pre-N can be pretty expensive. If you're on a budget / limit

Since everything (if you want more coverage), would also have to be Pre-N

713706 2008-10-21 21:23:00 I have installed several NetcommNB6PLUS4W's (www.netcomm.com.au) - seem to work well, good range where others didn't work to well and no problems so far. wainuitech (129)

713710 2008-10-22 04:32:00 +1 for the WAG200g

Ive been doing a lot with VoIP lately, and the number of el-cheapo D-Link DSL-302g's Ive replaced in favor of those is ridiculous ;)

Im with Speedy, avoid Pre-N for now...

713711 2008-10-22 22:06:00 I have a U.S. Robotics MaxG Model 9108 wireless. Got it on special at Dick Smith's just before Xmas in 2006 for $104. I've had no problems with this router. Has all these features:

ADSL modem
Wireless access point
4-port router
Print server
Firewall

The print server feature is great, can send print jobs from laptops to the printer through wireless.
