| 713605 | 2008-10-21 06:00:00 | 1. I have almost all my software on my 16gb flash drive and usually every time I plug it in it is to edit a doc with OpenOffice Write portable. Is there any way for writer to open as soon as I plug in my drive? 2. I have 300gb hard drive that I use for back up using time machine and I want to be able to access those files in Vista but every time I plug in my drive it says "Unknown Device". I know my drive is working perfectly but why won't vista recognise it? Thanks a bunch JL:) |

Sorry, I didn't make this clear enough. I have a Macbook pro and a Vista laptop. I back-up my macbook pro to a 300gb external HDD using Time machine. I would like to access the backed up files on my 300gb External HDD from my Vista laptop. I take it your 300 unit is an external H/D,may need drivers for Vista,my external H/D has drivers for XP. I am pretty sure Vista/XP installs drivers automatically as they are plug and play OS's thanks |
