| 713581 | 2008-10-21 04:12:00 | Hi everyone www.imagef1.net.nz Does the icon looks like this? How can I change it? Which one is better?: Picasa or Windows Live Photo Gallery? When a picture is opened with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and I want to edit it, when I click the "Edit" button it opens the Copy to... window, then the move to... window and then the Open With window. Can't I just make it so when I click the "Edit" button it opens Paint automatically? Thanks |

| 713582 | 2008-10-21 06:42:00 | Hey mathsgood. May I suggest that you convert your screenshots next time to .JPG format before uploading to imagef1? 1MB can sound a lot to those on painful dial-up connections. I have looked through Google on changing the icon of "Shared Folder", but to no avail. I guess you can always create a shortcut to "Shared Folder", then change the respective icon? I am a Windows XP user, so I am in no position to judge Windows Live Photo Gallery. However, I am using Picasa to manage my photos and I like the interface. To open Paint automatically when selecting "edit", go to My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types > (Select a picture format) > Advanced > Select "Edit" > Change the application specified under "Application used to perform action". I have attached a diagram to guide you here: Attached file: editing.JPG (www.imagef1.net.nz) (86 KB) Cheers :) |

| 713585 | 2008-10-21 22:16:00 | The Shared Documents Folder seems to be the tricky one, no customize option - and while the default shared folders inside also dont allow changing ( Video, Pictures,Music) there is a way to change those. If you want to change download icolorfolder (icolorfolder.sourceforge.net), may as well get the extra pack as well- when installed and you right click any folder you will have a new option called Color Label - select that and you can change the folders to what ever you want under "custom". To select /see the options open the program from all Programs. Only downside - Still wont change the Main Shared Documents Folder :( Note: it did rearrange all my desktop icons in a row when installing  Now I have to "untidy" them again. |
