490729 2006-10-13 11:11:00 Have you played no 1? You cant do the dash... But it's all gud lol.

EDIT:

If you need emulators and roms... The site says it's legal so Im posting here.

[edit: URL removed]

[edit: It is NOT legal. That site called their ISO's "the finest selection of Reference Only Material on the web" which is legal jargon for we trying to cover our rear ends with that statement and it is not our fault the users actually downloaded the *reference material* for when/if legal action is taken against them.]

490732 2006-10-13 21:26:00 I always thought the Oddworld (abes exodus etc) was an excellent series, good ideas, although only a platform game it ruled. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. rob_on_guitar (4196)

490734 2006-10-15 04:51:00 I have a GeForce FX5200 (Sempron 2200+, 1gb DDR)atm, which runs HL2 (just). I'm having a lot of fun playing Day of Defeat: Source atm which I play at 800 x 600, minimum settings and I'm getting as much fun out of it as I think I would if I could play with everything at max.

Do you include the physics engine in 'graphics'? I love the interaction in the HL2 game engine, makes the game I reckon. A lot like bullet time 'made' the Max Payne series.

490735 2006-10-15 04:55:00 no i wouldnt, as the physics is part of the gameplay... in some cases.... well as you can tell in racing games it is, but rts not really, its more a graphics thing.... motorbyclist (188)
490736 2006-10-15 05:57:00 24 voted gameplay over graphics.... how come we all want better graphics cards then? ;) Jester (13)
490737 2006-10-15 06:24:00 We need them to play the latest games. It's not our fault game developers like there games to look shiny more than they want them to play well.

I guess at the end of the day it's about what makes them the most $ and it looks like shiny pretty things make more moolah.

It isnt that I don't like good graphics, I just like good gameplay more.

490738 2006-10-15 06:43:00 I expect both.

Not that I expect every new game to raise the bar in graphics, But I didn't shell out my hard earned to play ugly games.
