Unless you were actually there (and there were supposedly only 4(5?) people their at the time) are you ever going to fully know the truth? The US said its true... so what? The US also said Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK, there is no Area 51 and so on.... In the end, we can all get info from whatever corner of the internet to support whatever theory/conspiracy/ideal we believe in (Big Bang, Creation.. whatever) Belief is a good thing to have, but blind faith does have its downfalls |

| 489774 | 2006-10-08 02:31:00 | A silly poll indeed... How old were you in 1968, wmoore? Hmmmm. I see I should've proof-read this. My finger slipped. It was actually 1969. And whatever you were watching on TV in 1952, Sue - that wasn't here. . NZ's public TV transmissions were't until 1960 (in Auckland. followed gradually by other centres). So I'm curioius about what event you saw & didn't didn't believe in 1952..? |

I believe the Kings funeral in '52, the Coronation in '53 and probably the Everest excitement were genuine . Moon landing No, even the special effects were 2nd rate . Just had to have something to show for all the millions spent . :2cents: |

| 489778 | 2006-10-10 08:43:00 | The only thing that ever landed on the moon was a Cow... And all the other stuff. Everyone wants to find a conspiracy, sometimes the impossible is possible... Like making Windows do what you want lol |

| 489779 | 2006-10-10 11:55:00 | while i do think we did land there, i would like to get an uber telescope and have a look at the footprints/ landing site. unlike elvis and 9/11 conspiracies there's a pretty easy way to solve this lol.... but a more complicated (and therefore more suitable) solution would be to fly up there and double check, then if we didnt we would have so it wouldnt matter as much lol i can still see the reasons the US had to either make it or fake it, seeing as they were last to do everything else and at that time the space race was a great way to get the country working together again (much like certain wars in the past, just this one was peaceful) anyone own an observatory? why doesnt the poll have an "undecided" option? |

| 489780 | 2006-10-10 12:18:00 | On utube they have a interesting theory about the first man on the moon, I think it was televised here on TV. Some conspiracy program. Id be a liar to say it didnt affect my thoughts about the whole thing. I suppose the irony is the same thing (tv) that made me beleive they did land on the moon is the same thing that blurred my beleif... |
