Not only is anything better than Norton. It's not even better than nothing!

491267 2006-10-15 03:08:00 just trying comodo at the moment. at present it gets the big thumbs down :(
because it hides known applications (ie lets them through but dosn't display so you can't stop their access) and it dosn't display alerts when that process isn't running (ie if run a game in full screen the alert can't be seen and the alert vanishes when you exit the game!).

also it dosn't display applications that have tried to access the net. so you can be infected and it won't show that somethings trying to gain access. (eg exiting the game it looks like that game dosn't access the net).

very poor :(

491268 2006-10-16 07:54:00 That's what I currently have but the update service expires soon.
I don't think that's a big deal.
If you're using for personal not business, you just renew it.
As far as I remember, you have to answer a few silly questions and they post you an email which you have to respond to and it's done.

yes latest ver.

it makes sence ;) when the process (ie opera) isn't running (turned opera off) the alert for opera turns off. with ZA and all others the alerts stays untill you answer it (eg yes/no buttons on the alert).

sorry can't do anymore testing as its allready in the bin.
