What will happen to our network? Will they go seperate like TelstraClear? Or will they force Telecom to unbundle?

490273 2006-10-09 18:32:00 Says $41M Ihug lately have been renowned for moaning and crying to the govt.

I feel sorry for Annette.

They all are known for moaning and crying to the govt.
And I don't feel sorry for her, she's just a big mouth, she could have done something similar instead of partying in Fiji while her ex trys to get rid of her.

Looks like TVNZ have cocked up. sam m's link to the iiNet official document states it is NZ$41 million (AU$36 million). I know when I first saw it, I thought it looked cheap, and when I noticed claims of $141 million, thought that might be closer to the mark. Obviously I was wrong too

490277 2006-10-09 21:10:00 Previous offers for iHug had been in the $30-36M range so anything much over $40M should have been suspect. It was for iHug NZ not those bits in Aus that iiNet are keeping. PaulD (232)
490278 2006-10-09 21:41:00 On ASB Business and Breakfast this morning they both said $41 Million and both are TVNZ so don't know where the $141 Million came from. Must have been a typo  CYaBro (73)

$41 million for 20% of the ISP market sounds qute cheap. That means that the total value of all ISPs combined is approximately just $200 million, which will probably decrease after unbundling. Considering teh amount that must be pumped into NZs network for unbundling and the shared upkeep of the network, I wonder how they are going to make money.

I am glad vodafone got it,, and not the goverments SOE, as they were interested.
