| 489838 | 2006-10-07 22:55:00 | Just a note here but they are doing a special tribute to Peter Brock at Bathurst today, doing a lap in some of his past racing cars, by prominent drivers. So this will be interesting i guess. (this was advertised in our local paper on the holden page) http://www.supercheapauto1000.com/ http://www.v8supercar.com.au/ The biggest question no one has uttered is Ford or Holden? :p and so far that list Stu must have gone thro the shredder........ cos ive not seen it either...... :D But man is it good to watch motor racing on a 32 inch widescreen tv:p beetle |

It was better when it was open to all comers but after the Holden and Falcon's got betten for a few years the good Ozzys changed the rules so that only Ozzy made cars namely Comodore and Falcon could compete.. This way an Australian car always wins.. |

I am not going to forget :p I am going to tell you and you are going to read! :p It is a competition between NZers and OZes in drivers, funnily the cars (Ford and Holden) are both made in OZ... there are not too many kiwis in it though... kind of defeats the purpose of NZ vs OZ and seeing as there are no NZ car entrys (physical cars, not teams) it also reduces the purpose and to add to the fact that there are no races in NZ anymore (that I can know of :blush:) And the Bathurst 1000 is a 1000Km race around Mt Panorama |
