490427 2006-10-10 00:52:00 Are any of you cable users having disconnection problems at the mo? Mines timing out on a fairly regular basis, seems to be more prevelant on some sites than other and not resticted to international.

Telstra upgraded the digital TV service last night, which may or may not be causing some issues with that service, but there are no stated issue with the cable modem service (not that that means anything to the mendacious freaks).

490428 2006-10-10 02:39:00 Are TelstraClear Cable outages fairly common - there seem to be a lot of posts here about it? I'm considering getting it (I live in Wellington). somebody (208)
490429 2006-10-10 03:01:00 Been having a few minor outages the past couple of months, but has more recently been very good in that respect. Except today of course, which I suspect has something to do with the digital TV upgrade that took place last night (Wellington area).

Otherwise, it's pretty bloody good.

490432 2006-10-10 06:16:00 I hardly ever have any outages with telstra cable, its great. :) netchicken (4843)
490433 2006-10-10 06:33:00 I get mini outages all the time.
I can tell because I've got Nokia's PC Suite running and when there is an outage it asks if I want to use dial up.
I'd say during the day, there is about one outage an hour.
But it only lasts for a few seconds I think.
Today, I've had longer outages - up to minutes, with web sites hanging.
But when it works, it's magic.

Had another this evening. Still no indication on the Telstra staus page and haven't had time to ph yet, but will do so if it continues. As I said earlier, I susepect the yesterdays outages were related to the TV upgrade, however I think I have another issue which could be local.

Cheers
