492719 2006-10-19 17:08:00 Is there any real difference in the picture quality of simliar priced video cards?
Is NVidia any better or worse than Raedon?

What is the difference between G Force and Quadro cards?

And the tricky one. Adding a second card in SLI. . Would adding a second card justifying the spending of another $600 ?

I currently have an NVidia 7900GT with 250 megs.And a Viewsonic vx924.

I still am not happy with picture quality.

492720 2006-10-19 17:43:00 adding another video card will not improve picture quality at all, other than being able to enable higher levels of aa and af in games, also as said before, sli does not work with Flight Sim. As yuo can see in my sig I actually do run 2 7900gt's in SLI and I can tell you the performance in fantastic, I run full everything in every game I have, including BF2 that used to be a real resource hog.

quadro cards are basically for graphic design, they have some improved performance in openGL but lag behind in Direct 3D applications.

Some people say that Radeon cards have better picture quality, personally I have never been able to tell, when actually playing any sort of game.

No. Its not picture quality as such, there are small differences in performance with different games though.

Thats why benchmarks show several different games for comparison.
