714121 2008-10-23 03:27:00 A friend's friend wants to sell me this Gigabyte GeForce 9800GT 512MB card at $250.00 (1 month old). Is it worth buying? bk T (215)
714122 2008-10-23 03:41:00 Its a pretty good card but would expect a bit cheaper from a mate. (maybe)

All depends what he spent on it.

Does it still have warranty docket?

Brand new is $280, if it is this one?

That's the one. not too sure whether it still has the warranty docket. I too reckon it's a bit expensive considering a 'used' card.

$249 for a brand new XFX 9800GT, which is just as good, if not better, than the Gigabyte one :P

714125 2008-10-23 05:06:00 Apparently its performance is pretty much that of an 8800GT, which you can grab second hand for about $150.

If I were you I wouldn't buy it. Rather spend a couple more tens and grab a 4850.
