492870 2006-10-20 01:03:00 that show '24' was one of my favourite shows on friday nights and tv3 have dropped it.

tv3 website....

PLEASE NOTE: 24 will no longer screen twice a week.
The remaining episodes of 24 will play just once
- screening on a Saturday night.

Unfortunately this series of 24 has not drawn a large enough audience to justify its primetime slot. The show just never took off with New Zealanders the same way it has with American Audiences.

We are still committed to the series however, and will continue to screen the remainder of the series on Saturday nights, in the slot currently occupied by the 24 Encore.

I do not like this at all. It's screen like after 11pm on saturday nights. how an t3 do this halfway through the season?

As there is these boxes on top of some people tv sets that sends data back to the networks saying what people watch.

It’s all very hard to explan, there was a good explanation in the tv guide not that long go

Hes not talking subscription tv  TV ratings are gathered by receiving feedback from selected watchers. Each of these watchers has a box on there TV which reports back telling the broadcaster what channels are being watched the most and what times.

492875 2006-10-20 02:24:00 I'm not surprised. Look at Alias, Stargate, Smallville, La Femme Nikita. All excelent shows, all had dismill ratings (all showed at late hours after trying in primetime).
I would be surpirsed if they all pop up on digital TV next year (they need something to fill the new channels).

492876 2006-10-20 02:48:00 unlike alias, stargate and La Femme Nikita, i'm glad they dropped 24. i didn't mind it on prime time but twice a week was just ewwwww. tweak'e (69)
