| 491881 | 2006-10-16 21:42:00 | Probably be a good idea to mention a year range. I suspect that a 1970's one would be a lot different to own and maintain that a 2005 model, as an example... |

If one has access to the right kind of paper and a good color offset printing press and has a recent picture of the emporor/king/queen/president/dictator of the country in which one lives and can print paper monies in the correct denomination at will and with accuracy, then by all means buy and maintain a Volvo. Love those Volvo DINKS (dual income; no kids)! |

| 491885 | 2006-10-17 01:54:00 | Volvo's were always known for middle-age + posers who had an idea that they could out-run and out-manoeuver younger drivers in their GTI's. Bad luck - the GTI's always won. |

| 491887 | 2006-10-17 15:17:00 | Volvo's emphasis on safety attracted those drivers who subconsciously knew that they needed all the help they could get . Sadly, not being sarcastic here: We have a certain number of "accidents" that occur on our highways in this retirement community where I live . We call it Seizure-World . Around the end of the year holidays, there are a lot of "cross-over-the-center-line-and-hit-a-large-truck (lorry)" suicides by heavily insured, older and deeply depresssed senior citizens . They usually drive Kias or Hyundais or an old Pinto . . . never a Volvo . |
