715486 2008-10-28 13:08:00 A dell computer I recently acquired as trade-in for the sale of another has a bit of a probelm.. the owner caught his 16 year old daughter talking sex to guys online and in a fit of rage ripped the computer off the desk with the monitor still screwed in to the onboard port. Now I'm curious to know if I popped in a PCI Video card would it automatically recognize and run it from bootup? Or is this computer pretty much fubar? DigitalMessiah (7649)

715489 2008-10-28 20:42:00 :lol::lol: I've seen this before too.
Someone brought in their PC for repair and the onboard VGA port had been totally ripped off the mainboard and was still attached to the monitor cable :eek:
I fitted another seperate graphics card and the PC went sweet.
I did have to go into the BIOS and disable the onboard VGA.
