| 715486 | 2008-10-28 13:08:00 | A dell computer I recently acquired as trade-in for the sale of another has a bit of a probelm.. the owner caught his 16 year old daughter talking sex to guys online and in a fit of rage ripped the computer off the desk with the monitor still screwed in to the onboard port. Now I'm curious to know if I popped in a PCI Video card would it automatically recognize and run it from bootup? Or is this computer pretty much fubar? | DigitalMessiah (7649) | ||

Someone brought in their PC for repair and the onboard VGA port had been totally ripped off the mainboard and was still attached to the monitor cable :eek: I fitted another seperate graphics card and the PC went sweet. I did have to go into the BIOS and disable the onboard VGA. |
