715308 2008-10-28 04:30:00 Hi all,my Creative Fatal1ty 1010 mouse has decided to crap out. The left click only works when it wants to and sometimes it double clicks just for the heck of it!

So Im going to replace it, any suggestions as what to replace it with? Any suggestions would be most helpfull

I like the looks/specs of the Logitech G5 (ascent.co.nz)

715309 2008-10-28 04:47:00 Just got a G5 on the weekend its a nice mouse, although it would be nice if you got more options for mapping the thumb buttons. stormdragon (6013)

I wouldn't think it would be very accurate, being optical.

You should either stick with the G5 or get M$ sidewinder

715314 2008-10-28 08:21:00 I still have a Microsoft/Razer Habu. I tried a Sidewinder mouse but they are pretty lumpy mice - and just a fraction too much for my hand (which is average size I reckon). So I couldn't rest my wrist comfortably and still work the mouse.

Some people don't rest their wrists on the mousepad though and instead use their entire forearm to work the mouse. If you are one of those people then a Sidewinder might be good. A nice package too - a little box which doubles as a weighted cable anchor and a container for the mouse weights and interchangeable feet (you get a choice of three different foot materials.)

Ugly little bugger but damn does it perform.

Check it out.

715316 2008-10-28 23:31:00 There is no other mouse apart from the G5 - all others are lame attempts at disguising a dog-sh*t as a mouse. Bozo (8540)
715317 2008-10-28 23:37:00 G5 look very similar to my MX510. Metla (12)
