2006-10-26 02:59:00 | Service your car engine every 6mths - Keeps oil & internal galleries clean as a whistle. Change Antifreeze & brake fluid every 2 years - Would have saved me boiling an engine going up a skifield, and running out of brakes on the way down! Dont scalp the lawns - long grass, well 50mm long supresses the weeds nicely Fertilize the lawns - keeps grass happy and weeds down. Spider Spray the house - keeps the buggers away for 2-3yrs...

2006-10-26 05:57:00 | And why would I want to kill all my helpful fly=eating spiders?:( To stop them crawling across your face when you're having a siesta in your favourite hammock? I thought it was too cold down there for flies anyway, a bit like planes when their wings ice up on take off :D

2006-10-26 08:06:00 | I thought it was too cold down there for flies anyway, a bit like planes when their wings ice up on take off :D Its summer now. There are huge giant fat ones. One of my spiders in the kitchen was sucking the innards out of one just this afternoon. I know which beast I'd rather have.... :p

2006-10-26 08:43:00 | Damn flies again, I hope the spider will eat them all up for me again but flies population is growing faster than I thought. :p Spiders are good especially eating up some damn flies. But I usually hate seeing spiders in Winter.

But I usually hate seeing spiders in Winter. We don't know how lucky we are, Pedalslammer !! Mrs Misty and I were in Adelaide/Melbourne last December and flies were everywhere, trying to get in your mouth or eyes !! :xmouth: We really got to become practiced in "the Aussie wave" :groan: We have been in Australia many times and have just been lucky previously not to have experienced the flies, even in Cairns. Misty PS - acknowledgement to Fred Dagg (alias John Clarke) for : We don't know how lucky we are [mate] |
