| 493419 | 2008-03-24 23:26:00 | OK . . on to the booze, carpet and Playboy . . . . I was laying carpet (no joke! I was!) and got a custom installation to do three coaches (super-plush mobile homes with wet bars, sunken floors and ceiling mirrors with a disco ball in the den, a spa/sauna and garden tub and wall-to-wall black satin and chrome bed in the master bedroom) for Hef at a show in the parking lot of Chauncey's in San Diego, and as the night wore on and the carpet was flying, the Playmates found the bosses son and me on the floor doing the carpet thing: "Fuzzy side up" . They went back to the pre-pre-press release party going on in the restaurant and came out with multiple bottles of a VVO Scotch . Hef always had the best! We at first, refused it . . . but the atmosphere was . . . er . . . erotic with them all over the place . . and besides, the smell of new carpet does something to my senses anyway . . . . We learned to drink Scotch, room temperature, with a water side, neat . It carpet job had to be a night-lay, it had to be done by sunrise and it had to be re-settable or made to be pulled apart and when the coach was re-set, it would just fall into place with a few stitches . It was some 4-inch stapled shag called "Swinging Safari" by Walters Carpet Mills, El Monte, California in black and purple . . . SHAG???!!!??? . . . I know . . . it sounds gross, but that was the '70s and the disco thing was doin' it's groove-thing then . Very little carpet got laid that night (and NO jokes about anything ELSE happening either . . . because NOTHING DID!!!) Both of us were happily married (not to each other!) and we didn't mess around!!! . . . and our wives would kill us both . We never saw the sun rise . . but they tell us it did: I personally lost a couple of days that week . ["Fuzzy-side up" wasn't even an option after a while either . ] To this day, whenever I smell fresh carpet, I want to drink some VVO Scotch . I think Hef is still waiting for the carpet to get laid . . . it has been a few years and I am sure that by now the statute of limitations has been exceeded for a lawsuit . |

Welll-l-l-l- . . . . . I'm not saying it WOULD or WOULDN'T happen that I tell them . . . but I guess it depends if they ply me with VVO or not . I have a could of bottles of some VVF in the cupboard . . but they are getting aged as I talk . . . . I have had them . . . and a few unopened yet . . . for over 10 years so far . Still looking for a VVO to add to my collection . |
