494666 2006-10-27 05:11:00 I wanted to use liquid cooling for my next Intel Quad Core because my old Intel P4 with HT creating too much heat so? Liquid cooling is a more efficient way. Although the price level is pretty high.

When are you going to buy this quad? Do you already have the cooling system for it, or are you going to buy them both together?

I thought water + electricity = fire ;) :D

Another question to throw into the mix, for those who do use liquid cooling, what kind of coolant do you use and how often do you change it?

Just water, but a few drops of anti-freeze makes it glow under the U/V that some people feel are necessary:rolleyes:

Chances are you wont like or accept this Jack so im probably wasting my time writing this, but it has been proven to be an effective and high performing means of PC cooling.

I believe you Pete.

But I can think of simpler ways of doing the job. Sounds posatively scarry to me.

The Quad is officially announced to released next month while AMD extents its time. So? If I want to get parts from first Quater of April that could take me forever. So I'll use some of my old computer parts for temporary use. Any way I'll see how's the situation going.
Thermaltake Shark case looks so cool + liquid cooling makin it even better.

494671 2007-01-15 20:16:00 I have been using water cooling for a long time and wouldnt use anything else, but all my systems are overclocked. If i wanted to have a stock computer i feel H2o isnt worth it for the money. Triggerhappy (11362)
494672 2007-01-15 20:22:00 Hi all,

Just a quick survey, how many of you use liquid cooling in your PCs? I read all the time about overclocking etc and wanted to know whether people actually do it or not.

Not quite the answer you were looking for or expecting (for gaming anyways) but anybody who owns an Intel Mac Pro Tower. These come with liquid cooling as OEM.

494674 2007-01-15 22:24:00 If a machine needs liquid cooling in its stock-standard OEM form, then it's obviously been under-engineered. Alarm bells ring. Greg (193)

Possibly although from looking at the pics of it I got the impression that it was liquid cooled although I could be wrong .

In reply to your comment Greg, Apple like their machines to run cool and silent .
