| 494408 | 2006-10-26 20:27:00 | And why would I want to kill all my helpful fly=eating spiders?:( Just how many flys do you think a spider eats in, say a month? A week? A day? It's more like 1 fly every 2.3 weeks or so. This is for a large, very hungry and pro-active spider too! Not a good ratio for me! I have a biology major friend who told me that! To make a serious dent in the fly count, you'd need more spiders than flys...not a good scene in my eyes either! My neighbor also told me that if just one pair of mated flys had all their offspring survive and reproduce like their parents, in just 6 months the whole earth would be over 4 feet deep in dead flys. Ugh! Something more than fly-eating spiders is at work here. |
