Very good link there. Explains things better than I could.

I need a generator though as what would I plug my toaster into along with my pizza cooker and coffee maker? :-)

 Hmm this explains why people need to mode their PC cases. lol. I still need to bring a smokey generator along to make the whole room gone smoky. Just kidding man, unless I go there and share files which need a power supply for WAN network to share files.

Sorry Gothan just need to know what is LAN party about. I don't have a computer here yet unless this is the first quarter of 2007. My old one cannot handle games and it is real ugly case. lol.

494016 2006-10-26 07:10:00 These LAN organisers are really a waste of space. I mean, what do they offer you that you can't get from home on the Internet? Buy their food? Transport your kit to their premises? Can't smoke? Can't drink booze? Can't use full-on sound system? :illogical :groan:

Oh yeah, you can get none of the above and still have to pay for the privledge.

You can smoke, you can drink, we'll kick you out if you do.

There IS a full on sound system in the hall, which i have access to ;)

and its spelt privilege, not privledge. ;)

494018 2006-10-26 07:34:00 Greg, you can get pretty much anything that you can normally get on the internet, but at 1000mb/s, not 2mb/s. Also, ever played CS:S? Actually, exer played any online games? LAN's are mainly about playing games, with extremely low ping.

Who cares about a full-on sound system? Go buy some full-on headphones. Zalman makes some 5.1 surround ones.

494019 2006-10-26 08:10:00 Does the players have GTR2? I mean I wanna race for sure since NZ internet is so slow. TOCA Race Driver 3? Evolution GT?
If you have more than 20 players have that game then I'll reconsider it.
Real "NOS' tank allows to mode on the side of the PC case? lol. I wonder if this modding legal or not. Because you never know some people might do that.

And about after market parts. lol. Cars modding parts are from US and Japan. And aftermarket PC parts are mostly made from China. I wonder how's the lan party difference from race meeting and lan party.

Any photos to show us?
