715268 2008-10-28 03:08:00 Hi there, I have just purchased the latest issue of PCWorld and tried to install SP3. I have a registered copy of XP Pro but the installation failed. It went through the process but kept telling me it couldn't read an address to complete a particular instruction. There must have been about 20 or more of these messages. I had disabled Nortons and closed all other programmes and tried installing twice but with the same result. What could be the problem? kiwibloke (4074)

715271 2008-10-28 05:07:00 You can get such a message if there is a defective transfer when expanding cabinet files. It is unlikely to be the Mag DVD.
Are you over-clocking? Are you sure Norton whatever has let go? Does your system restore needing purging?
Have fun!
