493087 2006-10-21 07:12:00 The front left element when turned from high to low..stays on high..When turned just on to low..heats up to high..swap the front two elements around
and they work fine no problems..put them back and the problem is there again. ???????? Then tonight went to heat up oven (selected bake ) and the bloody grill came on....had to use fanbake :waughh::confused:

493090 2006-10-24 03:42:00 I don't think its a simmerstat problem, that would stay put when you swapped elements. It sounds like a wiring issue, like a burned out connection removing a return path, or possible two wires welded together after an insulation failure.

Whatever it is, I'd get it checked by an electrican or appliance serviceman. It is certainly unusual, and not easily explained by any normal failure pattern that I can think of.
