1431884 2017-02-14 03:39:00 When I go to save a file either the Documents folder or the Downloads folder opens and the computer freezes. It has to be rest to reboot. Now if I try to save a PDF file it automatically opens the Downloads folder and freezes. Help please. Krad (7878)
1431885 2017-02-14 04:00:00 You may have some system corruption.

Assuming this is W10 ( wasn't mentioned what you have) Open a CMD / Run as administrator, type in sfc /scannow <press enter> see if it finds any corruptions, even if it doesn't then reboot and try again.

If it finds corruptions but cant fix them, then you'll need a W10 DVD or USB drive with W10 on it to repair the system.

Instructions to follow on how if required. :)

1431886 2017-02-15 20:15:00 I did the scan and it did not find any integrity issues. I upgraded to Win 10 from Win 7 so don't have a copy of Win 10. Krad (7878)

Download it from MS (google for the download link)

It could also be a failing hard drive.
1st thing to do is make sure you backup all your data, then go fault finding . Just in case.

1431888 2017-02-15 23:16:00 he's had this same problem for nearly a year now... (as well as others)

I would say a clean install would be the way to go
