| 1431052 | 2017-01-26 09:34:00 | The trouble with decent monitors is the price. I have stuck with a reasonably cheap 60hz 1080P LG IPS screen for that reason and am happy with it. With that hardware if you can afford it something like this would be my choice www.pbtech.co.nz There are a few competing models with similar specs and price tags around but that's the one I like the look of. I think the combination of G-sync to match your Nvidia card, high refresh rate, and QHD for image quality is a killer combo. Personally I think it's a better choice than any 4k offering for a number of reasons. |

But he likes the size....watches movies and shows on it too, so I can see his point, and a big monitor would cost heaps. I would avoid Philips as a brand. I agree with the ASUS in preference to the Philips. |

| 1431055 | 2017-01-27 05:00:00 | Another slightly cheaper option with very almost identical specs www.pbtech.co.nz The free sync version of the Asus is about $100 cheaper too, depends how much you think G-sync is worth having but I'd want it myself if spending that much. The Cheapish 1080P option would be www.pbtech.co.nz Some people say 1080P is too low for 27" but I don't have an issue with it personally. I cheaped out last time and went for one of these www.pbtech.co.nz and I game at 1080P with Vsync on and find it perfectly good |
