| 1430402 | 2017-01-04 19:14:00 | Nope, as I said He had kids so he doesn't qualify. But it doesn't say you can't have had kids. Just: Nominees significantly improve the gene pool by eliminating themselves from the human race in an obviously stupid way. They are self-selected examples of the dangers inherent in a lack of common sense, and all human races, cultures, and socioeconomic groups are eligible to compete. Actual winners must meet the following criteria: Reproduction Out of the gene pool: dead or sterile. (He has removed himself now) Excellence Astounding misapplication of judgment. Self-Selection Cause one's own demise. Maturity Capable of sound judgment. Veracity The event must be true. |

I thought it did. To me it still seems like it should - already having reproduced negates not being able to reproduce any more in my book. so the fireworks guy could get an award, the burnt woman can only get an honourable mention. |

Found the page where they discuss this exact issue www.darwinawards.com Well dugi I don't think you need to apologise as you were right in the first place. :) The link that has mislead you is of "doubtful authority" but I enjoyed their relying on the Female Genes being dominant and the source of the problem. :D 7794 |
