1432003 2017-02-18 00:29:00 Not a PC question, I know, but I thought someone on here may be able to help me.

I have a Samsung Smart TV (very pleased with it) Its connected to Freeview with a roof aerial and to the internet via my wireless router.

We have been used to watching Freeview channnels from 1 to 20 (approx)

But somehow the other day my partner got us on to Freeview Plus (I think and now we have channels from 16 to 50.

But we cannot get back to our old Freeview channels 1 to 20 etc.

I have tried most options I can see, but cannot figure it out.

Any suggestions ?

Don't you just press TV remote Menu and Channel (New Zealand) and let it find it's Channels.

It used to be automatic, but now we have to go in and let it pick up the new channels and it deletes those gone off, our CTV 50is now internet/radio.

See the old religious channel has come back on stream.

ps. BH hogs the damn TV and the DVD she records 2 channels at once, pleased I replaced the earthquake damaged laptop, so I can do family history at least, lol.

Yes, but I could not see an answer quickly.
It tells you how to get Freeview or Freeview PLaus.
But not what to do if you have lost one!

I'll try again.

1432007 2017-02-18 12:17:00 Isn't freeview plus a streaming service? in which case it'd have to be accessed through the smart TV function and not the tuner. Switch the source back to TV ? or I assume there's some kind of freeview plus button on the remote. dugimodo (138)

Switch the source back to TV ? or I assume there's some kind of freeview plus button on the remote. A quick search brings up the differences -- compare-freeview-options/ (www.freeviewnz.tv) In a nutshell, with Plus you get more options.

Any questions can be answered in Freeviews Site www.freeviewnz.tv

1432009 2017-02-19 17:43:00 Thanks guys I found the answer, by luck.

I had tried every button on my remote, to no avail. Then my g/f suggested I try settings - No I said that's just for sound and picture quality etc. We need to find out how to get from Freeview Plus to just Freeview.

But I did go to Settings / Broadcast on my remote and then Scan for channels.
Lo and behold it went through all the channels and picked up from 1 to 50 odd (all the Chinese ones and Shopping etc)

So now we are all happy.
But I'd still like to know how to went from having from 1 to 20 to having from 16 to 50. (maybe just an act of god)

1432011 2017-02-20 12:58:00 You probably lost signal on 1 or 2 frequencys, each of which has a group of channels broadcast on it if not enough signal you wil get black screen. Here is a trick with Samsung tv's hold down the INFO button on the remote for a few seconds and the signal screen should pop up. apsattv (7406)
