715913 2008-10-30 02:08:00 Hey all,

So I'm looking to take a picture of a product that has a white background, and put it on a web-page that has a black background.

Easiest way to do this is with a nice fuzzy-fade, similar to what you see on those booklets they hand out at funerals.

Is there any small / free software that I can download which will do the trick?
Ideally I'd like it to be in a nice oval / circle kind of shape too :D

Cheers

Chill.

715914 2008-10-30 02:23:00 You can do it in word 07 lol
Might not do a good job though.
try it anyways:D

edit: GIMP has a built in addon to do this kind of thing.

Me and image editing dont exactly see eye-to-eye... ;)

715920 2008-10-30 05:20:00 My only problem is I don't have the button mentioned in Step 8 :-/

I did it once, but I was just randomly clicking this & that, and it figures I cant remember what I was mashing, or if I had black or white selected, or if it was the FG or BG color I filled with black / what... :$

Any suggestions?
