Find the application and select it by clicking on it once.
Use the keyboard combination Apple (command) + i
This takes you to the Info panel (otherwise click file/ Get Info)
Tick open using Rosetta
Close the window
Try to open the application.

Rosetta is design to run PowerPC Apps on Intel based machines.
If the software utilises System Preferences. It is possible to Get system prefs to run under Rosetta also. Can't say that I've tried this though.

My MacBook Pro is still on 10.5.1
I can't see why Apple would break this. :wub

Rosetta is not fool proof... some software will just break or perform unreliably under Leopard/Tiger on an Intel.
