edit: 5 minutes fast, about right for the electrons to reach Otago?

Ah, but that was a Canterbury 5 minutes.
How do you know what my Otago time is?

Ah, but I do.
I have just spent a whole week there, and I know it's still stuck firmly in 1957 and 5 minutes behind real time. First hand experience, you see.

495661 2006-11-01 06:37:00 O_o No it hasn't... It used to show "Today 03:07 PM", "Yesterday 08:54 AM", and anything older than yesterday as "28-10-2006 02:11 PM"

Doh! I should have read the options more carefully. Sorry. That was what the 3rd option was.

Fixed now.

Any chance of putting the clock right?
It's disconcerting to see you've posted something several minutes ahead of what your own clock says.
No, it's not urgent, but would be nice... sometime...

I'll have to chase Jim on this one. It's sitting on a whole new box now and the time on that must be off.

495667 2006-11-01 09:46:00 "ntpd" is a word??

I think ntpd is a Linux time service.

495668 2006-11-01 10:01:00 "ntpd" is a word??

Of course it is, it's got lettuce and it's not suitable for salad, it's not numbers, it's not animal, mineral or vegetable. And it's spelt proper too.

Or maybe it's like "a word in your ear":D
