496006 2006-11-02 08:33:00 I'm looking to buy one of these PDA's and would appreciate it if someone could answer a few questions for me.

1) The specs say it has an SD expansion slot, what is the SD memory used for? i.e. Does it act like a hard drive? What I would want to do is put mp3's on it and use the PDA to play them, is that the type of thing it's used for?

(as you can see, I'm a bit clueless)

2) I have done a bit of research and found that you can get an SD wifi adaptor. Would this work on this PDA?

3) Along the same lines...I see you can also get an SD bluetooth adaptor, would this work?

4) This one is for godfather (I see you own one ;)) What's it like when playing movies (refresh rate etc?).

Thanks.

496007 2006-11-02 08:42:00 Have not used the Toshiba for a year or 2, but the e570 has both an SD and a CF slot, these can be used to store inages, music etc.

Video refresh rate was OK, but its a bloody small screen, beats me why you would want to view video on it.

It's a PDA for business use, not a toy for watching videos essentially. Short battery life for screen intensive work.

As to the WiFi adaptor or bluetooth, you would need to try it. I could not get a CF network card to work.

They are a bit old now.

496008 2006-11-02 08:47:00 Thanks for the reply, yup it is old but i think $125 for a 2nd hand one (in good condition) is a good price, would you agree? pine-o-cleen (2955)
