| 495805 | 2006-11-01 19:36:00 | After reading the story in PCW and thinking about it for a few days I have reached the following conclusion. The reviewers at PCW were either drunk when they compiled the review or it was a transcription of Microsoft's press release. It will be at least two years before I consider buying it. Sometime after the release of SP 23. At last they have got xp somewhere near right. So why change? After waiting for iVista to boot up, I can now understand why some people leave their computers running 24/7. |

Why else? money... this will get people buying it and they will make money... And as far as booting is concernd, I feel as XP is slower (my personal experience) |

| 495807 | 2006-11-02 01:41:00 | If "WE" is the Royal WE, then you are absolutely wrong including me in your declaration . I have found out that M$ is going to cease support of XP in the first half of 2008, about 6 months before they said they'd release SP-3 for XP . So . . . where does that leave people with XP now? I sincerly intend to learn to operate Ubuntu and be able to run it better than or at least equal to my ability in XP . I see Vista as a giant money grab by a money grubbing person who cannot possibly fear eating out of dumpsters for the next 2,500 generations . It's obscene and not humane to make something that about 90% of the world uses as a system and then tell them it's gonna all end if they don't buy the next newer model . Drug dealers are kinder . |
