But just have a few questions that would be fantastic if you could answer for me. Cheers. What type of Genre do you find most appealing in a billboard? 1 Clever 2 Humorous 2 Both clever and Humorous 4 Other Are you able to name an example of your chosen choice?, whether it be a television ad, newspaper, radio, etc What product do you like to see advertised more than others? 1 Cars 2 Clothing 3 Food 4 Drink 5 Other Are you able to name an example of your chosen choice? Whether it be a television ad, newspaper, radio, etc Do you have a favourite billboard ad campaign? Have you ever come across an Ad campaign that has caused you to avoid the product/service in which it was trying to promote? If a billboard required on average, 30 seconds to understand what it was trying to sell, and was placed in an area that allowed you as a driver, or a pedestrian to stop and read, would you pull over to take advantage of that? What type of product medium appeals to you most? 1 Newspaper 2 Television 3 Radio 4 Billboards 5 Internet 6 Other When making a purchase, are you partial to a pre-established brand name? Or do you prefer to purchase an item/service that will do the job despite its reputation? What type of advertising medium is most likely to be ignored by you due to its in-accurate placement? For example, and Ad on a bus, or just before a movie. What genre of advertisement appeals to you more than others? 1 Comedy 2 Shock – causes the viewer to be briefly “shocked” 3 Impact – eg, drink driving ads. 4 Thinker - eg. NZ Army ads, requires you to think and solve a problem. |

No way in hell. I'm trying to get somewhere, not read ads. What type of product medium appeals to you most? 5. Internet. More likely to get something that "just does the job" if it's really cheap; e.g. $2 shop phonelines. Thinker Just out of interest, why not use an online survey thing for this? It's much more efficient that requiring people to post back on the forum with this massive long thing. |

If billboards are so bad, and they are, perhaps they should spend their money for advertising on text-messaging people with handhelds and cellphones. I think that's much more fair......this way: "Du yu wnt a lrgr pnus?" ""mk hur wnt u" "Ephedra 4u" "luz wat fst" "Rushun grlz wnt u" See? Short...sweet...to-the-point and no more rear-ender accidents! |

What I wonder is - Do you get marked on the quality of the questions, as well as your ability to turn the answers into meaningful statistics? If so, they could be better worded. It's an interesting survey (and it should be done in the forum's poll/survey format if you want plenty of answers) but the questions are a bit clunky. (Mind you, they're no worse than a television survey I got sucked into recently - because | felt sorry for the polite young man who phoned me - and I'll bet that cost big bikkies. |
