496899 2006-11-10 09:18:00 Yeah, it is quite hard to break into the group. Kinda like surfies on their home breaks.I feel left out! :horrified I have never been excluded or made to feel silly no matter what I've asked on other forums ...

Mind you, like anything, I do try to solve things myself first by doing some searching and only asking when I can't resolve it myself or need clarification on how to do something.

496904 2006-11-10 09:42:00 Heh . Real men use both . Linux for servers and Windows for desktops . . .

There is no elite status at the local Linux Users group I go to . I hear often funny things (untruths) said about Windows (XP) though e . g . it crashes often, and you have to keep reinstalling it :) Linux as a desktop needs a hell of a lot of polish for the average user (look at OS X as something to aim for) still, but it is now possible to set a Linux box up and give it to people to use for basic stuff .

Sometimes I'm just not in the mood to search for instructions in dodgy documentation to fix Linux problems . . .

Heh you should talk to some Mac zealots for some fun (although the people hwo run away from them are just as funny) .

The odd part is how people perceive an OS based on one install , on one PC (and in many cases it has dodgy hardware)

496905 2006-11-10 10:53:00 Far too touchy/feely, This is a debate, a debate among men god damn it, Your next move should have been to throw a beer can at me and insult my sister .

Anyhow, I win .

Muhahahahaha .

And I'm still looking foward to the downfall of MS . . . . . . . LOL . . . aw whats wrong? Did I take the wind out of your sails? :p

Fine then . . .

Tazz throws a can of beer at Metla
Tazz then insults Wanganui for having Micheal poncy Laws as Mayor

Don't know your sister, so won't insult her
Give her my condolences however, a bro like you must be a burden unto itself :p

Happy now? :p :)

496908 2006-11-10 11:43:00 If someone has an issue with Windows then its far more likely it will not only have a simple fix but that finding someone with a tip or two will take next to no time at all.

Not so with Linux.

As for a Linux box purrs along more happily then a Windows box?, heh?, what are you talking about? Id love to see how you qualify that statement.
Sorry you are a sad sack.
