717027 2008-11-04 06:12:00 im not sure, but i will have a look for the product key tomorow and report back.
In regards to the type of xp , when it loads it gives me the choice of XP Pro i think but will confirm tomorow.

so i can use the same product key that a friend has on their version, is that what you are saying??

thanks again

717028 2008-11-04 07:18:00 No you can only use the product key that is on that copy of XP installed on that computer, the key should be on the side of the case.

You can use someone else's cd but NOT their product key

717030 2008-11-04 19:36:00 have found that the OS is indeed XP Pro, and have found what looks to be the product key, located on the PSU. GameJunkie (72)
717031 2008-11-08 05:45:00 in relation to the product key i have found two sequences of numbers, one set with 20, the other with 25, which is the one i use?

cheers

717032 2008-11-08 06:23:00 Well one will work one wont

XP's keys are usually 25 in 5 blocks of 5 characters. ie xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

Why its on the PSU, I have no idea

717034 2008-11-08 07:01:00 Hmm only way to find out is to try it.

Only thing is, if its not an XP cd key, youre stuffed. XP wont install
