A combination of tape and used sparkler wire is the best option and gives the biggest bang. I let one off the other night that had about 5mm of tape and a dead sparkler holding it together. Chunks of the tape flew off still fully intact, while the dead sparkler held the rest togther. The tape allows you add greater pressure and keeps things air tight.

496516 2006-11-06 05:31:00 has anyone else found the irony that after stealing our money to gain power to legalise (retrospectively) the theft, they are threatening to ban a great kiwi tradition, which celebrates the plight of a man who tried to blow up parlament (in england/aussie) . .

sure we're celebrating a failure, but we're also celebrating that one man stood up to an oppressive establishment, and here we have a corrupt goverment threatening to regulate our activities even further!:yuck:

I'm sick of a select few ruining things for the rest of us, the fireworks are so lame now that many are practically forced to "improve" them! If a person chooses to risk blowing his hand off/burning his house down he should be allowed to, otherwise they should ban all motorsport, rugby, league, tree climbing and anything involving water due do drowning hazards!

i dont see how the current government can be called a democracy when the politicians are catering for their own needs without actually caring to ask (and act) on what the people who voted them in actually want . :groan:
