| 716956 | 2008-11-03 20:24:00 | Hi, I have a PS3 and I want to play some of my movie files from my Seagate external USB HD. Unfortunately that doesn't work because its a NTFS drive. I checked with a small USB stick which is a FAT32 drive and it works fine. So I want to check whether I can change my external HD to a FAT32 drive or if I can partition it so that one part is NTFS and the other FAT32? |

| 716957 | 2008-11-03 20:28:00 | You could probably partition it then format it FAT32 (You would have to copy everything back to a spare hdd), then do this, then copy them back to the external hdd again) BUT, you cant change / convert NTFS back to FAT32. Within Windows. Without a 3rd party program However, you may not be able to copy files (over 4GB) to it once its FAT32. As this is the file limit for FAT32 Its probably because its external it doesnt like NTFS. If it was internal, you wouldnt have the same prob. |
